The Art of Pie | Pie Making & Decorating Class
A three hour hands-on workshop that teaches the food science behind flaky, tender crusts and demonstrates how metal and glass pie pans change baking results. Learn about three crust methods and how and when they should be used. Additionally you will be taught how to make woven lattice tops, decorative cutouts, and different edge finishes to make pies that taste as beautiful as they look. Perfect for home bakers!
Everyone will go home with their very own decorated pie, as well as recipes for the crust, and the fillings for pumpkin pie, berry ginger pie, and apple pie. While your apple pies bake in the oven, each flavor of pie will be available to try along with coffee, tea, and other beverages.

SUPPLY LIST TO BRING: apron, rolling pin, pastry or pizza cutter, bench knife, pastry brush, metal or plastic ruler (not wood)
Provided items: pie pans, pre-made pie dough, apple pie filling (made from scratch), cookie cutters, parchment paper, sheet pans, and a take home box for your finished pie. The instructor will have a few extra rolling pins, bowl scrapers, aprons, etc. for anyone who might have forgotten theirs.
